Cardian Matsu An excellent alternate mix of an already great album, highlighting an entirely new mood just with some loving tweaks and a mutual respect from artist to artist.

While the original cut of “Circuli” feels more adventurous, a few changes turns its mood to a halfhearted melancholy, something which the medium of downtempo synthwave lends itself well to.

As another side of the album coin, 𝐺𝑂𝑅𝐸’s take on this album is something I wholly recommend after a full listen and appreciation of the original. Favorite track: Haze.

Seeking refuge from the cold on a blustery autumn night, scene newcomer Bounty Ballad put out a call inviting other artists to remix his debut LP - Circuli. As fate would have it, the prolific 𝐺𝑂𝑅𝐸 would answer that call. What resulted was an almost entirely different album that puts an icy, eerie, and liminal feel to Circuli’s already Hermetically sealed soundscape. The finished product stands as a love letter to the foundation of plundered music. Headphones recommended.
